Security Posture Assessments |
A network is only as strong as its weakest link. Even the tightest firewalls and strongest security measures can be bypassed by the simplest of routes like a modem left online, an unsecured wireless AP, or an e-mail trojan. The Prometheus Group's Security Posture Assessment (SPA) is designed to give you a comprehensive picture of the security health of your network and IT assets. Our network security professionals perform both an external and internal assessments of your network environment to identify and analyze vulnerabilities, as well as a review of existing controls and network architecture and host configurations. At the completion of the engagement, we provide you with an in-depth analysis of your enterprise, as well as expert guidance on how to further solidify your infrastructure. | | While automated tools can identify a wide variety of the most common security vulnerabilities, many others remain largely undocumented and therefore cannot be detected with tools alone. The Prometheus Group's SPAs provide an exhaustive examination of your key network resources, uncovering misconfigurations or vulnerabilities that could be exploited by malicious attackers. The Prometheus Group's SPAs involve in-depth testing of every device in your enterprise. The objectives are to identify vulnerabilities and configuration issues and to conduct other customized analysis that will determine the current security status of your enterprise. Before we test your network, we provide you with a fully documented test plan and coordinate the testing schedule with your staff. We notify you immediately if the test results include any critical vulnerabilities or event that would require emergency intervention on your network devices. After completion of the SPA, The Prometheus Group's Security Engineers will report the findings to management and technical personnel that illustrate the techniques, analysis, and results of the assessment. The report covers: - Executive summary
- Technical vulnerability report
- Device configuration weaknesses
- Network design weaknesses
- Recommended mitigation/remediation measures
- Other recommended actions on maintaining a secure network environment
The ever-increasing volume of attacks on networks requires that you periodically test your network against new vulnerabilities. We work with you to determine the appropriate frequency for assessments to ensure that your network and information are protected from new sources and types of malicious attacks.
